The BOA is comfortable and easy to skate, but with BOA Turn-Dial Speed Lacing (guaranteed for life) it is quick and easy to get an even wrap around the feet without having to battle any laces. Composite plastic frames (not removable - not adjustable) help to dampen vibrations and speeds are kept manageable on 80mm 80A wheels (ABEC5 Bearings). The wheels are soft enough for indoor rink skating, and will smooth out bumps and cracks outdoors. Replacing with harder (82A or higher) wheels at some point will improve speed and durability. K2 SoftBoots (integrated liners - not removable) are well ventilated and comfortable without need for break-in.
