Shop slalom and freestyle inline skates for cone skating, precise turns and technical footwork. At InMove Skates, you’ll find models with different boot constructions and frame setups, whether you’re starting with basic slalom moves or upgrading for more demanding practice.

Compare available sizes, fit and rocker configurations to find your next pair. A secure boot and a setup that suits your skating matter more than choosing the most expensive model.

Choose Slalom Skates Around Your Fit

Slalom skating involves frequent changes of direction and careful control of your edges. Your skates should hold your feet securely so that small movements translate into a predictable response.

Measure both feet and check the size chart for the specific model. Look for a snug fit with a secure heel, without painful pressure or curled toes. Boot width and internal shape vary, so two models in the same size may feel quite different.

Hard-Shell or Carbon Boots?

Hard-shell slalom skates are worth considering for their support, durability and, on many models, replaceable liners. They can suit skaters who want one pair for both cone practice and general skating.

Carbon or carbon-composite models often offer a closer fit and a stiff, responsive construction. They may appeal to riders who prioritize precision for technical moves. Check the individual model’s padding, cuff and sizing rather than assuming every carbon boot will fit or perform the same way.

Some freestyle skates have removable liners; others use integrated padding. This affects how they fit, how you maintain them and which components you can replace.

Flat, Rockered or Rockerable Frames?

The wheel setup is an important difference between slalom inline skates. Check the product description to understand how each model is configured.

  • Flat setups place all wheels on the same level. They provide a consistent base for general skating and can also be used to learn basic slalom moves.

  • Rockered setups position the front and rear wheels slightly higher than the middle wheels. This makes it easier to pivot and change direction, although the feel takes some adjustment.

  • Rockerable frames allow you to change selected axle positions. Depending on the frame, this can let you switch between flat and rockered configurations.

A rocker can also be created on some flat frames using smaller front and rear wheels. Before changing anything, check the frame specifications and supported wheel sizes.

If you want one pair for both city rides and slalom practice, a suitable rockerable setup may offer useful flexibility. For dedicated cone skating, compare models designed around a slalom rocker.

Wheel Size and Frame Length

Choose wheel size and frame length together. A shorter frame generally makes tight turns easier, but the setup should also suit your foot size and the way you skate.

An 80mm wheel diameter is not the same measurement as an 80mm wheelbase. Product descriptions may list both wheel size and frame length, so check each specification when comparing models.

Larger wheels are not automatically an upgrade for freestyle slalom. Prioritize a manageable setup that gives you the control you need for turns, transitions and balance work.

Slalom Skates or Urban Skates?

Choose dedicated freestyle slalom skates when cone skating and technical footwork are your main focus. If most of your skating involves cruising, commuting or exploring the city, browse our urban and freeride inline skates.

There is overlap between the categories, and some models work well for both. The deciding factors are the fit, support and frame configuration, rather than the category name alone.

Many dedicated slalom models are supplied without a heel brake. If a brake is important to you, check whether a compatible option is available before ordering.

Complete Your Slalom Setup

Add slalom cones for practice and suitable protective gear to your setup. When buying replacement wheels or frames, confirm the wheel clearance, mounting system and intended rocker configuration.

Buy Slalom Skates at InMove Skates

Browse the models above to compare boot designs, frame setups and available sizes. Whether you’re buying your first freestyle slalom skates or replacing a well-used pair, choose around the fit and features that matter to your skating.

Need help deciding? Message us with your foot measurements, current skates and whether you plan to use the new pair mainly for slalom or a mix of slalom and city skating. We’ll help you narrow down the available options.
